Automatic Bar Code Monitoring added to new TG 4000 Series web inspection system, improving productivity through quality.

January 2003 - With the introduction of the new and improved TG 4000 Series model automatic web inspection system; TruColor Vision Systems, Inc. has added, as an optional software feature, the ability to automatically monitor bar code print quality. The new software supports ISO 15416 (replaced ANSI 3.x) as the worldwide standard for bar code quality.

The verification process of the printed bar codes can be performed at any location in the repeat at normal production press speeds. Both ladder and picket fence orientations can be automatically monitored to a pre-determined tolerance. The system supports UPC (A, E), EAN-13 and EAN-8 symbologies and includes automatic logging capabilities for SPC or SQC reports.
